Silk Paints
Setasilk is a heat fixed colour for silk. Made up of finely dispersed pigments and resins, Setasilk colours are vivid, bright and can be mixed together to produce an even wider colour range.
They air dry in just a few minutes but can be fixed by ironing for 3 to 4 minutes on the reverse side of the fabric with a hot iron. About 48 hours after fixing it is possible to machine wash and dry clean the fabrics. If required, the colours can be diluted with a Setasilk thinner.
The water based Setasilk guttas, can be used for outlining directly from the tube. They are used as a barrier for the Setasilk which is applied after you have applied the Gutta. Once fixed with an iron, water based guttas resist washing except for the clear gutta, which is especially formulated to be removable by washing.
